Aconcagua, Argentina

Explore South America's highest peak, standing at 22,837 feet (6,960 meters). Throughout the ascent, participants will be surrounded by the stunning Andean scenery, with expansive views of this dry, high altitude region. The multi day trek into basecamp is a treat because mules carry all our expedition equipment! We will include 1 or 2 side missions to take in the scenery and also help with acclimatization.

Spending time around the cowboys and their livestock is one of the selling points for Aconcagua.

With very little snow, many describe this peak as a high altitude trek. It’s true, we don’t even take harnesses on this 23k peak. Great exposure to altitude, with less technical risk.

Basing out of Mendoza city is one of the best parts of this expedition. It is one of Travis’s favorite places on earth! Quaint timber lined streets and colonial architecture is inviting as we turn into one of the cities renowned steakhouses. After the climb, be sure and allow an extra day for a regional winery tour!
